369 Journal Privacy Policy

369 Journal is a journaling and reflection app for the 369 manifestation method. We do not sell your data, show third-party ads, or use your data to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Information Stored On Your Device

The app stores your name, active desire, ritual entries and drafts, post-session feeling check-ins, Signs & Proof notes, guided writing, sleep scene text, vision-board items, reminder preferences, settings, Grace Day choices, and voice affirmation recordings locally on your device. Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets may read a small local snapshot from the app’s shared App Group container.

Anonymous Product Analytics

We use PostHog to understand how the app is used and improve activation, reliability, features, and 369 Pro conversion. The app sends fixed, content-free events such as onboarding completion, ritual session and day completion, feature usage, paywall views, and purchase or restore outcomes.

Analytics may include coarse properties such as session type, Pro status, cycle-day range, app version, device and operating-system information, network information, an anonymous device-level identifier, and approximate location derived from the network connection, including country, region, city, postal area, and approximate coordinates.

PostHog analytics does not include your name, active desire, journal entries, drafts, feelings, Signs & Proof notes, guided-writing text, recordings, feedback email, transaction identifiers, or raw purchase errors. Identified person profiles, automatic screen and element capture, session replay, error autocapture, and advertising tracking are disabled.

Optional in-app surveys are enabled. Survey responses include only the feedback you voluntarily submit and are used to understand issues, prioritize improvements, and evaluate the product experience. Survey responses are not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.

PostHog processes this information for analytics on our behalf. Analytics information is not used for third-party advertising, combined with data from other companies for advertising, or shared with data brokers.

AI Ritual Coach and Breakthrough Mode

If you use the Ritual Coach, the app may send limited ritual context such as your active desire, day and cycle context, recent feelings, recent Signs & Proof notes, and recent guided-writing snippets to the 369 Journal API hosted on Vercel. Breakthrough Mode may send your active desire, selected block, optional context, day and cycle context, recent feelings, and recent Signs & Proof notes.

The 369 Journal API uses OpenAI to generate the requested response. Generated plans are saved in your private journal on your device. Both features use an on-device fallback when the service is unavailable.

Do not enter highly sensitive personal, medical, financial, legal, or confidential information into AI-powered fields.

Voice Affirmations

If you choose to record a voice affirmation, the app asks for microphone permission. Voice recordings are stored locally on your device unless you choose to share, export, or back them up using Apple system services. Voice recordings are not sent to PostHog or the AI service.

Widgets and Face ID

Widgets read only the local App Group snapshot used to display ritual progress. If you enable privacy lock, the app uses Face ID or device authentication through Apple’s LocalAuthentication system. 369 Journal does not receive or store your biometric data.

Purchases

369 Pro Lifetime purchases are handled by Apple In-App Purchase. We do not process or receive payment card details. Apple provides purchase status information so the app can unlock or restore Pro features. PostHog receives content-free purchase outcome events but no transaction identifier or payment information.

Feedback

Share feedback opens an optional PostHog product survey. PostHog processes the response you voluntarily submit together with the anonymous app and device context described above.

Contact developer sends your message through the 369 Journal API hosted on Vercel and an email delivery provider. If you choose to provide a reply email address, it is used only to respond to your request. Direct feedback may also include app version, build number, ritual day number, streak, completed sessions, and selected cycle length.

Feedback does not include your active desire, journal entries, recordings, vision board, reminders, or widget data unless you choose to type that information into the feedback message. We use feedback only to understand issues, improve the app, and reply when requested.

Data Retention, Choices, and Deletion

You can export or delete local journal data from Settings. Deleting local data or deleting the app removes locally stored app data from that device, subject to normal iOS backup behavior.

Service providers may retain analytics, request logs, AI requests, generated responses, and feedback for operational, security, and analytics purposes according to their service settings and applicable agreements. Because analytics uses an anonymous device-level identifier rather than an account, we may have limited ability to associate an analytics record with a specific person.

Service Providers

369 Journal uses Apple for In-App Purchase and system services, PostHog for anonymous product analytics and optional product surveys, Vercel to host the 369 Journal API, OpenAI for optional AI-generated responses, and Resend to deliver direct feedback to the developer.

Children

369 Journal is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app changes. The latest version and effective date will be posted on this page.
